Flexibility

E-commerce package is designed as a module for the search engine friendly Drupal CMS, meaning that you can upgrade your existing Drupal website, or start a new one from scratch.

Automatic account generation

Accounts are automatically generated based on the customer’s e-mail address. (Optional setting allows customers to specify account names and passwords in checkout.) Previously used email addresses will be listed on the checkout page for easy access to any return customers.

Supported shipping methods

The system offers several shipping calculation methods. Administrator can assign shipping rates to specific products or to every order placed. Shipping rates can also be based on the weight quote of the order. In addition to this, several modules offer support for 3rd party shipping quotes from UPS, USPS and FedEx.

Multiple user accounts

Grant access to different departments in your company, while controlling account permissions.

Add-ons

Your online store can be upgraded with hundreds of modules already available for download, or we could design a module specifically tailored to your needs (extra charges may apply).

E-commerce + CMS

Because our system is built as a module for Drupal, you are also in complete control of your entire website, not just the products in your online store. Post news updates, publish photos, create a blog; possibilities are endless.

Simple order processing

Video : Importer des produits dans Prestashop à partir d’un fichier CSV (excel, calc…)

Vous avez fini d’installer votre boutique Prestashop et avez commencé à l’utiliser. Pour rendre totalement opérationnel celle-ci vous allez devoir remplir votre catalogue produits.

Pour cela 2 solutions s’offrent à vous :

1. Vous pouvez lire notre précédent article sur l’ajout de produit dans votre boutique Prestashop. Mais ajouter les produits un par un peut prendre du temps.
2. Utiliser une fonction intéressante de Prestashop qui permet d’importer dans votre catalogue produits, plusieurs articles à la fois (voire même des centaines) grâce à un tableau CSV.

Pour exécuter cette opération, vous n’avez qu’à utiliser un tableur, comme Microsoft Excel ou Open Office Calc (qui est gratuit).

Ce tableau doit avoir les titres de colonnes sur la 1ère ligne et la description de chaque produit sur les suivantes. Vous pouvez télécharger ce fichier d’exemple (clique droit et enregistrer sous), et le compléter pour chacun de vos produits.

La dernière colonne : Catégorie, doit indiquer l’ID de la catégorie dans laquelle vous souhaitez ajouter le produit. Vous pourrez trouver cet ID dans le catalogue de la partie administrateur de votre magasin. A gauche de chaque nom de catégorie se situe cet identifiant.

Exemple sur la photo à droite si vous souhaitez ajouter un produit dans la catégorie : Ipods vous devrez saisir 2 (Si c’est dans la catégorie mère « Accueil » l’ID est de 1).

Le seul inconvénient de cet outil est que vous devrez remplir manuellement par la suite certaines informations : comme les photos ou les taxes. Par exemple vous ne pouvez rentrer que le prix de vente HT (la taxe sera par défaut à 19,6%). Vous devrez donc après l’import des produits, les compléter un par un.

Mais l’importation des produits par un fichier CSV reste quand même un gain de temps non négligeable. Il vous permet aussi, si vous utilisez un autre logiciel pour gérer votre boutique en ligne, d’exporter votre catalogue produit à partir de celui-ci et de le réimporter dans Prestashop.

Magento, la version 1 – Capitaine Commerce : la conception de sites de commerce électronique

i vous êtes allé aujourd’hui sur le site de magento, vous avez pu voir ceci :

Mais c’est quoi ça ? Ca veux dire quoi ? C’est un poisson d’avril avancé ? A force de vous demander ‘mais pourquoi ?‘ certains d’entre vous en ont eu mal au crâne ? Respirez, c’est parceque ces coquins de chez Varien ils ont mis leur site a jour ! Et pourquoi ? Parceque la version 1 est sortie !!!

C’est de la bombe bébé, comme dirait le capitaine paraphrasant son idole Joey Starr.

C’est donc officiel, moins de 2 semaines après la version 0.99170, cette version sonne-t-elle une nouvelle ère pour le e-commerce (ça y est, je m’emballe, faut que je prenne mes médicaments) ? Non, bien entendu, mais cette version 1.0 offre un choix supplémentaire au public averti. Nul doute que dans les semaines/mois à venir nous inaugurions une rubrique ‘les plus beaux sites magento’ (n’hésitez pas a vous faire connaitre).

Une bonne nouvelle n’allant jamais seule, Varien annonçait il y a peu un partenariat avec Parallels afin de fournir des solutions installables en 1 coup de cliquette, ce qui permettra à coup sûr d’attirer encore plus de monde sur Magento.

Un widget Paypal pour votre boutique en ligne

Storefront est un widget flash développé par Paypal Labs. Il est actuellement disponible en version beta. Facile à configurer, vous pourrez ensuite le coller sur n’importe quelle page HTML. Malheureusement, ce widget ne peut pas encore être utilisé sur une page MySpace (checkout impossible), mais on peut s’inscrire pour être notifié de la disponibilité de cette fonction (une application de la MySpace Developper Platform ?).

Vos amis et supporters pourront également disposer du code de ce widget pour la promouvoir sur leurs propres espaces éditoriaux, de quoi assurer plus de visibilité à vos produits.

L’outil souffre encore de quelques lourdeurs (caractères spéciaux non supportés, resizing des images un peu brutal) et n’est disponible qu’en anglais. Quelques défauts qui devraient rapidement être corrigés. La marque Paypal devrait être un grand atout pour garantir du sérieux de votre boutique en ligne. A tester !
